In compliance with the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2310, notice is hereby given that the books for registration of voters will be open at the following places during regular business hours: Office of the County Election Officer (County Clerk) 200 E 8th St; Office of the City Clerk, Junction City Municipal Building; 12th Street Community Center; Office of the City Clerk, Grandview Plaza; Office of the City Clerk, Milford; Dorothy Bramlage Public Library and Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Persons who apply for services at voter registration agencies may register at the following places during regular business hours: Drivers License Bureau, Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, WIC, and Military Recruitment Offices.
At 6:00 p.m. on the 17th day of October 2023 the books for registration of voters will close and will remain closed until the 7th day of November 2023.
A citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of Kansas, who is 18 years or older, or will have attained the age of 18 at the next election, must register before he or she can vote. Registration closes 21 days prior to every election.
When a voter has been registered according to law, his or her registration shall continue to be valid until one of the following occurs:
1.The voter changes name by marriage, divorce or legal proceeding.
2.The voter changes residence.
If either of the above has occurred, the voter must re-register. Any person may apply in person or by mail to the County Election Officer to be registered. Application forms shall be provided by the County Election Officer upon request in person or in writing by the applicant. Such application shall be signed by the applicant under penalty of perjury.
