Geary County Landfill 

The Geary County Landfill is available for county residents and contractors for trees, tree limbs, and brush ONLY. Geary County residents currently are not required to pay for dumping personal trees, tree limbs, and brush.

All commercial contractors must pay a fee for dumping trees, tree limbs and brush. All contractors are expected to weigh their load first at the Geary County Transfer Station, then can proceed to the Landfill to dump. Contractors will go back to the Geary County Transfer Station to re-weigh and pay. Any contractor found not paying as required will be assessed an illegal dumping fee of $500/load.

Current dumping fee for trees and brush only is $15.00 per ton. Payments are accepted by exact cash, check, credit/debit card, or pre-approved charge account. Submitting payments online, can be found here.

Trees, tree limbs, and brush are the only accepted items at the landfill. All other items are prohibited at the landfill and will be assessed an illegal dumping fee of $500/load. 

Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 4PM.

The Landfill is also open the 2nd Saturday of each month from 8AM – 2PM.
