The Geary County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is a free program to Geary County residents. Residents are encouraged to bring household hazardous materials through the door labeled 'Public Entrance' to safely dispose of these items. Commercial businesses are excluded from participating in the HHW program.
Please be careful about moving hazardous waste items. Check containers for leakage or breaks. Use a larger, solid container if there is a chance of leakage.
HHW has free recycled paint, color and quantity vary, and other recycled items such as stain and cleaner are available to Geary County residents. Availability changes dependent on residents’ participation in HHW/Recycling Program. Each resident is limited to 6 items twice a week.
